Djerriwarrh predicts rise in IPOs, M&A
Djerriwarrh Investments expects public floats, mergers and acquisitions to heat up among Australian companies this new year as management scours for growth avenues amid a low interest rate environment.
“If the market stays buoyant, then more IPOs [initial public offerings] are likely," Djerriwarrh managing director Ross Barker said. “Top-line revenue is getting harder to achieve other than cutting costs, so the other option is for mergers and acquisitions, particularly with falling interest rates."
