Class action appeal win for Worley shareholders

Shareholders in engineering giant Worley will be able to pursue a class action over an optimistic earnings forecast in 2013 after an appeal court said the trial judge should not have ruled out their claim.

The Full Federal Court’s decision on Friday sharply criticised the $7 billion company’s failures on continuous disclosure, saying Worley had even conceded it had a history of tailoring its information to meet market expectations.
