CBA, NAB business bankers want to take more risk as competition mounts

The country’s most senior business bankers say there are plenty of opportunities to offer their customers new products as the major lenders face significant competition from the likes of Macquarie and Judo Bank.

Business banking is considered a key growth spot for lenders, and executives at the major four banks consider it a palatable risk to diversify loans beyond property, and into receivables and businesses’ inventory, so banks could aid businesses’ day-to-day operations more efficiently.
