Bill Beerworth, who founded corporate advisory firm Beerworth & Partners and advocated for the introduction of more US-style security laws to Australia, has died after complications with cancer.

The lawyer-cum-investment banker’s work on securities law was critical for the 1997 Wallis Report, which brought significant changes to Australia’s financial regulatory system.
