The former managing director of ANZ's global advice arm has just acquired his 12th financial planning firm, bringing his network's funds under advice to about $3 billion.
AZ NGA founder Paul Barrett, who left ANZ in 2013 and had a short stint buying childcare centres, has spent the last 18 months snapping up financial planning businesses against the backdrop of plenty of scandals in the advice industry.
