Australia’s top 50 philanthropy list admits 13 new members

The Financial Review Philanthropy 50 list for 2020-21 is slightly down on the previous record year. From our May issue, out on Friday, April 29.

Despite market uncertainty and the impact of COVID-19, giving from high-net-worth individuals and corporations in Australia held up in the past year, unlike mass-market donations which continued to drop.

The Financial Review Philanthropy 50 list, which measures giving for the 12 months to June 30, last year, is valued at $942 million – just 2 per cent less than the previous year’s record high of $964 million.
