AMP ignites adviser revolt

AMP financial advisers are planning a revolt against the company’s aggressive strategy to cut adviser numbers and drive a harder bargain with those looking to sell their businesses back to the company.
AMP chief executive Francesco De Ferrari said on Thursday the company would slash the number of non-viable practices it supported and was cutting the price it paid for advice businesses by more than a third.
