AMP faces probe on Pahari promotion, planner treatment
AMP is facing fresh parliamentary scrutiny of its corporate culture in light of the "no regrets" promotion of Boe Pahari, despite sexual harassment allegations, and the bank's dishonour of contract terms with financial advisers under its control.
Labor Senator Deborah O'Neill has lodged a formal request for an "immediate inquiry" into AMP's decisions to slash the value of financial planning client books under its long-standing and controversial 'Buyer of Last Resort' policy and switch off conflicted remuneration owed to planners earlier than legally required.
