Air NZ likely buyer of 63m Virgin shares

Air New Zealand appears to have wasted no time increasing its Virgin Australia stake, with a parcel of 63 million shares changing hands on Tuesday evening.

Air New Zealand appears to have wasted no time increasing its Virgin Australia stake, with a parcel of 63 million shares changing hands on Tuesday evening.

New Zealand’s national carrier won the right to increase its Virgin holding to 25.9 per cent last week, after consideration by Australia’s treasurer, the Foreign Investment Review Board, and the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
