The federal government's Workplace Ombudsman has investigated 19 separate Bakers Delight franchises in as many months since January 2006 for alleged breaches of workplace laws, including claims of underpayment of entitlements.
In the past fortnight, inspectors descended on the Bakers Delight franchise in the Sydney suburb of Kareela to investigate allegations of duress being applied by management to pressure young workers into signing an allegedly illegal workplace contract.
