Woodside gets Senegal tick for $6b oil project

Woodside Petroleum has secured approval from the Senegal government for its $US4.2 billion ($6.1 billion) Sangomar oil project, moving the Australian resources giant a step closer to the start of construction.
Work on the first phase of the project will be able to start once the Host Government Agreement is finally executed with the Senegal government and key contracts are awarded and approved, Woodside said on Thursday.
