Forrest commits to $1b hydrogen-equipment factory in Gladstone

Fortescue Future Industries will build a $1 billion electrolyser factory in Gladstone in Central Queensland as part of the state’s burgeoning hydrogen industry.
While most states are racing to get hydrogen projects off the ground, this announcement – made by Fortescue chairman Andrew Forrest and Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk on Sunday – is significant because money is being committed to a specific project.
