Energy entrepreneur Trevor St Baker has tipped $8 million into a Queensland junior gas explorer to cash in on the rapidly tightening east coast gas market.

Mr St Baker told The Australian Financial Review he expected good returns on the investment as the east coast gas market heats up amid a global energy crunch and increased demand for gas to help fill the gap left by the closures of coal-fired power plants.
