Tap seeks to scrap Burrup gas contract

Junior oil and gas producer Tap Oil has thrown another complicating factor into the deal for Apache to acquire a majority stake in Burrup Fertilisers, announcing it is seeking a legal declaration allowing it to terminate a key gas supply contract.

Tap said on Friday that it considers that Burrup, through its receivers and managers, had breached confidentiality terms included in the gas contract.
