Billionaire bust-up burns Sun Cable project

A dramatic business bust-up between billionaires Andrew Forrest and Mike Cannon-Brookes has resulted in the collapse of the company behind a $35 billion solar power export project to Singapore, just when it was gearing up for a major campaign to put together funding for construction.

Three executives from FTI Consulting appointed as voluntary administrators for Sun Cable Pty are now expected to move swiftly to seek bids for the business, which mean the two Rich Listers face off against each other for control of the ambitious Australia-Asia PowerLink project.
