SQM has more bad news for Aussie lithium miners

Lithium markets are over supplied and prices are suffering, but that won't stop Chilean giant Sociedad Química y Minera (SQM) from dramatically increasing production in a bid to reclaim market share.

SQM sold 27 per cent of the world's lithium in 2016, but rapid supply growth from Australia over the past 30 months reduced SQM's market share to 17 per cent in 2018.
