Woodside Energy would have to offer a premium to Santos shareholders that reflects the significant undervaluation of its “tremendous” LNG portfolio, according to a London-based activist investor who has campaigned against the smaller oil and gas group.

Snowcap’s Henry Kinnersley, who co-founded the activist investor group with his brother Chris, said that as Santos shareholders, “the key for us is price”.
