Santos chief executive Kevin Gallagher has taken aim at the previous federal government’s “chest-beating” and “threats” over domestic gas, saying they contributed to instability and uncertainty among valuable investment partners in LNG.

Mr Gallagher showered praise on Resources Minister Madeleine King’s “very mature and balanced approach” to the issue of gas supply for the country’s east coast market, contrasting that with the Morrison government.
