Revival of US LNG project complicates Woodside’s Louisiana purchase

A stalled gas project in the United States that agreed to sell to Woodside Energy has been revived after it benefited from the first LNG export licence to be granted under the new Trump administration.

But the export approval given to Commonwealth LNG in Louisiana comes as the Australian company has already switched its focus to its own export terminal planned almost immediately next door in the same state.
