Emerging Australian battery manufacturer Redflow has signed a deal with a major South Africa telecoms company to supply its flow-battery technology to power remote mobile towers.

The deal announced on Wednesday represents a positive step for the nascent energy storage provider, which has been wrestling with slow sales volumes since establishing its production facility in Thailand last year.
