The sale of a stake in an oil venture in China helped Petsec turn around its first-half performance despite a 35 per cent drop in output on the shutdown of fields in the US. Petsec said it has enough funds to pursue the acquisition of oil shale areas in the US and the exploration of large deep gas and oil prospects.
