Peak-demand utility expands solar farm portfolio by a third

A private utility is increasing its portfolio of solar farms by a third, and will bolt on batteries to protect profits as many solar farmers in southeastern states periodically switch off their plants.
CleanPeak Energy, a $500 million utility, has just bought two working solar farms and a project in development in NSW, all of which will have batteries integrated to take advantage of volatile market conditions.
