Coal seam and shale gas explorer NuEnergy Gas has promoted its group financial controller Simon Harvey to the newly created role of chief financial officer. His priority is to raise capital as the explorer prepares to move to production.

The role will be based in Sydney, but the CFO will be travelling frequently as the company’s operations are based in Indonesia, Tanzania and Malawi. The chief executive works out of Singapore.
