NT pipe to fuel growth at Central Petroleum
The new $800 million gas pipeline linking the Northern Territory to the east coast gas grid is a landmark for the whole eastern states gas market but for Central Petroleum it is transformational, bringing to reality what was just "a gleam in our eyes" when acting chief executive Leon Devaney joined the junior six years ago.
The start-up of commercial gas sales through Jemena's Northern Gas Pipeline, confirmed by customer Incitec Pivot for between December 29 and January 10, will immediately nearly triple Central's gas sales.
