NSW to introduce 2034 target for long storage
The NSW government will this week introduce legislation for a new 2034 target for long-duration electricity storage, which the state’s Energy and Climate Change Minister Penny Sharpe says will provide investors with a clear signal to make long-term investments.
Ms Sharpe will tell The Australian Financial Review Energy & Climate Summit on Monday that the new target will involve an additional 12 gigawatt-hours of storage by 2034.
