Hunter set for ‘world’s biggest battery’

The world’s largest battery – with a capacity of up to 1200 megawatts – will be built in the NSW Hunter Valley.
The $2.4 billion project reflects yet another scaling-up of grid-scale storage ambitions to complement intermittent renewables, in direct competition with gas-fired power.
