A stunning debut by French clean energy giant Neoen’s big battery in Victoria and record spot electricity prices received by its solar and wind farms in Australia have contributed to a surge in half-year profits and revenue.

The Victorian Big Battery (VBB) was largely responsible for a near-tripling in the revenue stream from Neoen’s storage assets, which also include the Hornsdale battery in South Australia and smaller batteries in Europe and South America.
