Construction of one of Australia’s largest onshore wind farms will begin on Wednesday, as renewable energy developers accelerate plans to capitalise on the country’s lofty climate goals.
The development of the 1300MW Golden Plains wind farm in Victoria will go some way to easing concern about the pace of development of new renewable energy projects amid heightened concern that new projects are not being built quickly enough to compensate for the retirement of fossil fuel generators.
