Australians need to know where the Snowy costs have gone
The government has a neat way of dealing with the exploding costs of Snowy Hydro 2.0: just dial up the benefits to match.
Bruce Mountain and Ted WoodleySnowy Hydro and its hapless pumped-hydro project, Snowy 2.0, have been back in the news recently. The revelations of toxic gases released into the atmosphere from polymers injected to stabilise the mud into which the tunnelling machine Florence is floundering, the giant sinkhole above it, and the extensive clearing and industrialisation of one of our most treasured national parks has got the public’s attention.
