Australian LNG reaches Europe amid hunt for Russian gas substitutes

A cargo of Australian LNG potentially worth more than $190 million has made the long trip to energy-starved north-west Europe as the region’s hunt for alternatives to Russian gas extends to distant shores.
After leaving the Woodside Energy-run North West Shelf export terminal near Karratha on October 29, the 75,000-tonne shipment bought by Germany’s Uniper arrived in Rotterdam at the weekend.
