Development of the US LNG terminal being acquired by Woodside Energy would more than double the company’s carbon emissions, claims Market Forces, which is agitating for board renewal.

Analysis carried out by the Friends of the Earth affiliate on the purchase of the Driftwood LNG export terminal in Louisiana also found that Woodside’s scope3 emissions would nearly double from 2023 levels, assuming it retains full ownership and develops all four phases of the project.
