PanAust has approved a $US110 million expansion of its Phu Kham copper and goldmine in Laos.
PanAust has approved a $US110 million ($113.2 million) expansion of its Phu Kham copper and goldmine in Laos. The project will increase annual copper production to between 65,000 and 70,000 tonnes a year from mid-2012.

State-owned renewable energy company Hydro Tasmania reported a jump in operating profit to $72.9 million in the 2010 financial year, up from $38.6 million the year before. This resulted from a return to average rainfall, a close watch on costs and better trading in the national electricity market, the company said. Jackie Range
