Three companies that reported quality interim results in last week's unsettled market were Hastie Group, Lighting Corporation and Wavenet International.

Each has a strong presence in select markets and should benefit from recent strategic initiatives in the second half of 2006-07. In normal market conditions these companies may have received more support following the announcement of their results.
