Vita tweaks forecast Vita Group, formerly known as Fone Zone, said its unaudited results showed earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation were better than it had forecast because of accounting treatments on warranties. The group expects to report a 21 per cent fall in EBITDA to $13.9 million, and net profit may decline 28 per cent to $5.4 million. Tracy Lee Herald takeover offer Indonesia's PT Bumi has made an off-market takeover for the remaining shares in Herald Resources it doesn't already own. PT Bumi, an 84 per cent shareholder in Herald through a company called Calipso Investment, made an all-cash offer of 70¢ a share, a 75 per cent premium to its target's shares on August 20, the last day of trade before the takeover was announced. Tracy Lee James Hardie to shift Shareholders of James Hardie at a meeting in Amsterdam approved its plan to adopt a new corporate status that will eventually pave the way for the troubled building materials maker to shift its headquarters to Ireland from the Netherlands. Final approval for the move is expected by the end of the year. Jeffrey Hutton Optus launches satellite Optus widened its satellite capacity by 30 per cent after launching its D3 satellite yesterday.
