Air New Zealand lifted net profit 133 per cent to $NZ56 million in the six months ended December 31.

Normalised earnings before tax (excluding the impact of derivatives that hedge exposures in other financial periods) were $NZ96 million, an increase of $NZ70 million on the same period last year.
