The share price of Atrum Coal had a wild ride on the day it announced that the resource at its Groundhog project in Canada had increased by 460 per cent to 1.5 billion tonnes.

This news resulted in its shares hitting a high of $1.32 before finishing at 97¢, compared with the previous day’s close of $1.02.
