ASIC takes Mariner execs to court over Austock bid

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission has begun court action to kick out of corporate life Mariner Corporation chairman Don Christie, chief executive Darren Olney-Fraser and former director Matthew Fletcher over the company’s failed 2012 takeover bid for broker Austock.
ASIC alleges financially troubled ASX minnow Mariner was reckless because it did not have the money to fund the bid.
