The Acacia tree was 20 metres tall with a trunk girth approaching two metres, but the best indicator of its health were the three small mushrooms that Sequoia Lewien found around its base.

“This is a scleroderma,” she tells the Tech Zero podcast, while gently pulling one of the mushrooms out of the dirt and placing it into her collection box.
