Nutrien gets green light for Ruralco takeover

Australia's competition watchdog has given the green light to Canadian fertiliser giant Nutrien's $469 million takeover of Ruralco despite concerns about its market dominance in a handful of locations.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission announced on Thursday that it would not oppose the takeover, which will see Nutrien-owned Landmark - already the biggest player in Australian farm services - gobble up the third-biggest player in Ruralco.
