Kingfish farmer catches up as Japanese production takes big hit

A big decline in Japan’s wild catch-based kingfish industry has opened the door for Australia’s Clean Seas Seafood to increase sales into North America and Asia.
Clean Seas, which farms fish in South Australia’s Spencer Gulf, will be one of the few aquaculture producers left on the ASX with its much bigger salmon farming cousins Huon and Tassal gobbled up by global protein players.
