Farmers tackle mice at home and China at WTO

Australian farmers are fighting two big battles this weekend: one against mice on the home front, and the other in Geneva where they will stand up to China by triggering the formation of a World Trade Organisation dispute resolution panel over punitive barley tariffs.

The mice plague in NSW has spilled over into trade, with overseas customers increasingly concerned about mice contamination in grain and potential residue from a poison the Berejiklian government is pushing to use to combat the rodents.
