Brownes Dairy, the largest milk company in Western Australia, is making a big bet on overseas expansion led by a snack cheese product in an attempt to offset weaker local consumer sentiment as interest rates rise.

The company, which has been owned by Chinese investors for the past six years, is on track to generate overall revenues of $245 million for the 12 months ended December 31, up from $232 million in the previous year.
