Almond grower maintains rage on water markets

Select Harvests is holding out hope the competition watchdog will recommend tighter regulation of water markets, after increased costs and a 10-year low in global almond prices hit its full-year results.
Select Harvests’ water costs jumped more than 63 per cent in the 12 months to September 30 as it grappled with weaker almond prices and market disruption caused by COVID-19.
