AAPT sale near as chief executive departs

Potential buyers of Telecom New Zealand's Australian arm, AAPT, have been given three weeks to complete their due diligence on the business, which yesterday was prepared for a quick sale with the departure of chief executive Jon Stretch.
AAPT has a book value of $NZ680 million ($611 million) but analysts value it at between $NZ140 million and about $NZ500 million.
