AAPT causes headache at Telecom NZ

Telecom New Zealand has warned that it might have to write down the value of its struggling Australian arm, AAPT, if Telstra proceeds with plans to increase the cost of wholesale access to its copper-wire phone network.
The warning comes three weeks after the company said it had been approached by a number of parties to either buy AAPT or enter into a business alliance in Australia.
