The NSW government levy that has wiped a stunning 30 per off the company’s valuation is an example of the sort of populist interventions investors should fear.
It’s a fair bet that Robbie Cooke, the man with the job of cleaning up scandal-plagued casino operator The Star Entertainment Group will have spent the festive season asking himself a very difficult question.
