For many households, the shift to a circular economy starts at the rubbish bin. Cleanaway’s new deal rides that shift. 

The proliferation of different coloured rubbish bins on Australia’s nature strips – red for household waste, yellow for recycling, green for garden waste, purple for food and organics – has become a slightly bemusing (and occasionally confusing) fact of life for most of us.

But for Cleanaway boss Mark Schubert, it’s big business – and a serious opportunity.
