Chris Ellison remains MinRes’ big unanswered question
The company’s managing director says he knows it’s time to go in 18 months. But like the man himself, some investors see him as the miner’s beating heart.
At last year’s annual general meeting for Mineral Resources, chief executive Chris Ellison and chairman James McClements were famously asked how they guard against hubris. After the dramas that have engulfed this company in the last few months, there were no such questions asked at the 2024 AGM, held in Perth on Thursday morning.
But maybe there should have been.
