Grok Ventures, the private investment vehicle of Atlassian co-founder Mike Cannon-Brookes and his wife, Annie, has taken a minority stake in fast-growing fund manager Melior Investment Management in a move designed to boost the growth of Australia’s nascent impact investing sector.

Melior, which was established in 2018 by chief executive Lucy Steed and chief investment officer Tim King, has counted Grok as a cornerstone investor in its Australian Impact Fund for some time. But a deeper relationship between the two firms will see Grok take an equity stake and increase its allocation to Melior.
