Cricket's Big Bash League profits surge as crowds set to hit one million

The eight Big Bash League teams are set to smash their profit projections as total crowd numbers for the six-week tournament head towards the one million mark for the first time.
With one match to play in the home and away portion of the competition on Monday night ahead of the semi-finals and final later this week, average crowds have already topped 28,000, up about 20 per cent from a year ago.
